My Fair Lady

Audrey, my firstborn, is a 18 year-old fashion design student at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising).  She was named after Audrey Hepburn, the British actress and humanitarian famed for her elegance and iconic style.

As a child, Audrey was exactly like Belle in "Beauty and the Beast".   She always had her nose in a book and would literally walk into walls while reading.

She would doodle for hours at a time.  We should've known Audrey would end up majoring in the arts.

Of course we're terribly partial, but my siblings and I all agreed that Audrey was possibly the cutest kid we've ever known!

But she was a feisty toddler with an attitude.  Return to this blog to watch an upcoming video clip that shows how Audrey used to bully her younger sister, Andrea.

No lasting psychological scars, though!  Andrea still adores Big Sis.

Inseparable!

Audrey grew up to be a happy-go-lucky teenager who views the world with a smile...

She is at her happiest pursuing her passions:

Fashion (meaning her closet is always overflowing; she changes outfits an average of 10 times a day, and often plays stylist to her friends for free)

Even an eBay sweater looks good on her!

Voted "Most Likely to Become the Next Picasso" by her senior class at Beckman High, Audrey enrolled at FIDM in the summer of 2009, poised to follow in her idol, Vera Wang's, footsteps.  Meanwhile, her parents got stuck paying her private college tuition.

Audrey is princess-like in her habits.  She probably sleeps 12 hours a day, but always seems to crave more zzz's.

In our car on the way to voice lesson at Diana's, still sleepy!

Audrey took up ballroom dancing as a teen and was recently invited to be a guest contestant on a new Vietnamese reality show, You Can Dance.  However, she decided she would feel more comfortable participating as a sponsoring performer instead.  You can see her in the show's finale at the Marriott on October 16, 2010.

Here she is with her teachers...

Audrey hasn't changed much through the years...

Still Grandpa's darling!
