With so many ao dai's in different styles and colors, it's difficult to choose an outstanding design. Among my personal favorites are the ones worn by Contestant #26 from Houston (Audrey's roommate) and Contestant #4 from France. While I didn't care for Contestant #31's dress (mainly because it was a hybrid design with a pleated pouf train), her modeling experience helped her look regal in every photo!

Contestant #31, Nhu Thao Phan, definitely knew how to pose. She's a model from Vietnam with an impressive career portfolio and many titles to match.

Contestant #34, Ngoc Ha Cu. The pageant website listed her as representing Germany, but here she is wearing a USA sash!

Audrey's roommate from Texas, Thao Phan, is third from left.
The "missing contestant", another model from Vietnam. Her sash didn't show a number, and we couldn't find any photos of her from the ao dai pre-judging.
Her name is Trieu Pham. Audrey was impressed with her catwalk. She didn't have a conventionally pretty face, but when she entered a room, people took notice because she's tall and confident.
